Whether you're a love-struck Romeo, a star-crossed Juliet, obsessed with Brangelina, or label Valentines Day nothing more than a Hallmark lie, Chicago City Limits Valentines Day Improv event is sure to surprise you with a hit straight from Cupid's arrow…right in the funny bone.
From its beginnings, Chicago City Limits has had many marriage proposals by audience members with what seems to be a 100% acceptance rate. Most of these have been when some brave soul, under the guise of giving the cast a suggestion for an Improv, pops the question. On a few occasions, industrious and well-heeled audience members have actually bought out the house, filled it with friends and commissioned the CCL cast to help them write and perform their labor of love.
But what about those who don't have the courage to create such an intimate moment on stage? The answer comes in the form of a AN UNEXPECTED VALENTINE'S at Chicago City Limits. During the show, in a special segment, all who feel the urge to pop the question will be given stage time to realize that dream. They will also receive a complementary bottle of champagne to help celebrate the event with their newfound fiancé.
Also featured in Chicago City Limit's Valentines Day Event, an improvised version of The Dating Game, the Broadway Musical of your own worst heartbreak, and your favorite love story never before told.
Chicago City Limits cast features hopeless romantics Joe DeGise II, Annie Schiffmann, Stefan Schick, and Rob Schiffmann. Hearbreaker Rick Hip-Flores on Keyboard. Directed by everybody's valentine, Paul Zuckerman.
